Marketing and Graphics Content Developer Student Worker - UNL - State Museum of Natural History (Lincoln, NE)

This is a paid, part-time, student worker position (15 hours per week) with the University of Nebraska State Museum. The job will be located at Morrill Hall on UNL’s City Campus. The student worker's role will be assisting in the development of public relations and marketing materials, including but not limited to digital graphics, flyers, print materials, social media content, feature stories, and other projects. Students may assist with mailings, photography, promotional and educational events, and other duties as assigned. The selected student will work closely with the Museum’s Public Relations and Membership Manager as well as staff from the education, visitor services and exhibits departments.

The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite Programs and social media platforms. They will have some experience developing graphics or marketing materials, and/or writing marketing content either through course work or previous employment/internships. An interest in the natural sciences is desirable, but not required. Must be able work independently and efficiently and have strong attention to detail. A desire to learn and accept feedback required.

This position will provide opportunities to expand skill sets and work on projects that will enhance portfolios. One student will be hired at the rate of $10 per hour.
