Social Media Assistant - UNL Career Services (Lincoln, NE)

UNL Career Services is looking for a creative, detail-oriented student to assist with the social media efforts in our office. This part-time position will provide a hands-on opportunity to work on various aspects of marketing/communications, including assisting with social media campaign creation, building an inventory of social media content and assessing social campaign effectiveness. Key projects include updating office collateral materials and signage, tracking social media data, maintaining our social media accounts. Applicants must possess strong communication and social media platform skills.

Requirements:
> Available to work 15-20 hours per week. Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm work availability with occasional evening and weekend availability possible.
> Proficient use of numerous social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and Twitter.
> Excellent communication skills, both verbal and nonverbal (including accurate spelling and grammar).
> Ability to take high quality photos and captivating video to help increase engaging social media interaction.
> Ability to design within Career Services office style (using our existing style guide and parameters).
> Proficient use of the Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office programs.
> Comfortable receiving and implementing constructive feedback.
> Ability to work through the summer and during the 2019/2020 academic year with periodic performance evaluations.

General Responsibilities:
> Continue to define/develop the office’s image and online presence and assist in the design/implementation of our digital marketing strategy.
> Develop, monitor, and refine digital marketing campaigns to rapidly grow our impact focused office and events. Curate content for each of our social media platforms to help grow, inform and inspire our followership.
> Define campaign objectives, measure success for campaigns, and report on successes or failures.
> Assist in writing and filming original videos for our social media channels.
> Track engagement insights to further develop relevant content.
> Amplify the efforts of our Career Services team and help implement our vision.

We are looking for someone who could begin this summer and continue working the next academic school year. But will consider strong applicants who only have fall academic availability.
