
The Omaha World-Herald Metro/Regional Editor, Connie White, will be on campus Thursday, April 18, 2019, to interview students for the Fall 2019 Real World Fellowships. Three (3) fellowships are available: one for a photographer and two for an online journalist/reporter. One of the reporting positions is likely to involve coverage of Husker sports. This semester-long fellowship is 20 hours of work per week, scheduled around the selected candidate(s) class schedule(s). The position will be based largely working with the World-Herald's Lincoln bureau, with occasional travel to Omaha or for assignment.
*QUALIFICATIONS: completion of Real World class by start of fellowship. (Students taking Real World class during Spring 2019 ARE eligible.) Completion of Beginning Reporting course. Ideally, previous journalism internship.
Compensation: Minimum wage for hours worked; three (3) hours' class credit, tuition-paid; and $2,500 stipend after successful conclusion of the semester.
