The Daily Nebraskan is hiring copy editors to join UNL's only independently-run student newspaper.
Duties include:
> Beginning the editing process before a story goes to print by fixing any grammatical, punctuation and spelling errors
> Working closely with reporters and members of other newsroom sections
> Suggesting changes that enhance articles' readability, conciseness and style
Candidates should:
> Have knowledge of AP Style rules as well as general grammar and spelling rules
> Preferably have some kind of editing experience, but not required
> Bring an energetic and ready-to-learn attitude to the newsroom
> Have collaborative skills in order to work with other sections
> Be flexible and adaptable
